This image was recently installed on an alley wall of an historic art deco building that dates back to 1930. The newly renovated structure is now a 5-star Italian restaurant.
The interior of the restaurant is lavishly illustrated with oversize black and white reproductions of Italian film stars. The outside wall that forms part of Skelton Alley in downtown Chilliwack features this provocative image of a young woman daring to eat pasta by hand. The creator is JEKS, an American artist who works exclusively with cans of spray paint to produce murals that are astonishingly life-like, with detail that observers often mistake for photography.
This mural was a key exhibit in the 2026 Chilliwack Mural Festival and has been widely captured in photos and videos shown internationally. Kudos to JEKS and the organizers of the Chilliwack event.
