The Provencher Bridge, St. Boniface

It was a moody Manitoba morning in downtown Winnipeg when we walked over this bridge linking The Canadian Museum for Human Rights with St. Boniface.

The Lethbridge train trestle bridge is the longest, highest railway structure of its kind in the world.

Its claim to fame remains though its current safety can make one long for the adventure of days gone by.

The decision in favour of black and white film, and the selected focus blurring the background, were conscious aesthetic choices.

At 140 feet long, carrying 400 people at a time, Paddlewheel Queen was Canada’s largest cruise ship, sailing daily through the summer months.
