Frozen Leaves in Mundy Park

This was taken early in the morning on a crisp fall day in a deeply forested area of the park. I’d brought a tripod with me to keep my film camera steady. I was using slow slide film which required a long exposure time – in this case around two minutes. When I had the film developed, I decided to frame a high-quality print.

The shop called me a few days later and said they were having trouble with the colour calibration. The leaves are blue, they said. Yes, I said, the leaves are blue.
