My Love Affair With The Abandoned Continues…

I can’t explain my attraction to the abandoned, the ruined, and the forgotten, but it has continued throughout every decade of my life. Beginning with the backyard of the local GM dealership in Whitemouth, Manitoba, through to the automobile graveyard outside Brandon, and the ancient gas station in Haney, BC, I’ve taken dozens of pictures of scenes that others passed by.

This image was the result of an errant golf shot, hooked into the bushes at the Redwoods golf course outside of Langley, BC. Stepping into the stands of forest pine lining the fairway, I saw the remains of this vehicle. How long it had been there is anyone’s guess.

My golf ball was irretrievable, but I’ve never forgotten what I did find. One more discovery of the forgotten…
