It was a moody Manitoba morning in downtown Winnipeg when we walked over this bridge linking The Canadian Museum for Human Rights with St. Boniface. The bridge was designed by famed architect Etienne Gaboury and constructed by Wardrop Engineering over a two year span, with completion in 2003.
The pedestrian walkway meets the middle with an elegant French restaurant whose exterior shape consciously echoes that of the Museum. This is the view from historic Provencher Avenue in St. Boniface.
Winnipeg never fails to surprise.
