The Rustic Prairie Hay Wagon

Driving across the back rounds of rural Manitoba in late fall, I came across this vintage hay wagon in active use.

It was a moody Manitoba morning in downtown Winnipeg when we walked over this bridge linking The Canadian Museum for Human Rights with St. Boniface.

Its claim to fame remains though its current safety can make one long for the adventure of days gone by.

The decision in favour of black and white film, and the selected focus blurring the background, were conscious aesthetic choices.

At 140 feet long, carrying 400 people at a time, Paddlewheel Queen was Canada’s largest cruise ship, sailing daily through the summer months.
