A Treacherous Passageway

A cruise off the coast of New Zealand offered up an apprehensive ride through this narrow passage. We had signed up for a day’s outing on the water; it turned out be cold, windy, and unsettling. We approached this giant rock formation at high speed. The cruise director was bent on providing a thrilling experience and wondered aloud if we were going to make it through. The top of our ship barely squeezed under the gap, or so it seemed. All in good fun…
