
The owner of this junkyard lot must have felt this doorway would fend off any intruders, but it was a simple matter to step to the side and climb over a crumbling brick wall. He may as well have put up a sign saying Trespassers Welcome.
I did clamber over the wall and found a photographer’s paradise of abandoned items: auto bodies, bed frames, mattresses, tires, barrels, paint cans, and more.
The scene commanded more than one visit and never failed to disappoint this aficionado of the discarded.
