The parallels between the pebbles on the beach, the deliberate placement of boulders, and the countless skyscrapers with mountains in the far background convinced me humans haven’t changed much over the millennia. We are builders, genetically programmed to imitate nature. Consciously or otherwise, we like to pile things up.
As of 2026, three super-towers are in the works. At a height of 1000 feet or more, they will dwarf this fondly remembered skyline. Someone once described Vancouver as “a city in a beautiful location.”
