
Here is a wonderful example of an image destined to be viewed only in colour. It’s postcard worthy and even appears to have been conceived for just such a purpose. There’s something incredibly cheerful about this photo that appeals to me as something ordinary made more than that. Not extraordinary, exactly. The colourful boxes are almost too carefully planned.
Yet it makes a statement. Colour is good, it says. Get over your black and white notions, I told myself; it was time to dream in colour.
