Almost an apparition, difficult to locate deep within the towering treetops that comprise a vast urban forest in Coquitlam, is a tiny lake known as Lost Lake. We stopped to admire the scene on a walk through the forest, and immediately this beautiful creature swam up to our viewpoint. He fearlessly gazed up to us – surely we had stopped by to bring him lunch. All I had to offer this friendly mallard was an opportunity to be photographed.
