The Amanita Muscaria mushroom is a showy but poisonous species that can bring about serious consequences if ingested. Inebriation and delirium are common, so there have been many cases of people seeking just those results. Very few have chosen to repeat the experience.
The colour varieties of this mushroom cap are several, ranging from pale yellow to many shades of red to rusty brown. This is the classic toadstool of the Pacific Northwest, growing wild beneath the huge conifer trees on the McCleery Golf Course.
The leaves have fallen from the trees and it is late in the autumn season, but the brilliant colours of the Amanita Muscaria persist for weeks on end.
