A solitary rowboat tied to a post next to the dock reveals that despite the invasion of 700,000 tourists who visit Peggy’s Cove on annual basis, the fishery remains an ongoing way of life for the residents. What is little known, perhaps, is that those full-time residents number less than 50. Despite the tourist dollars that are in spent in the few local shops or restaurants, there is no great display of prosperity.
