There is a beautiful lake not far from where I took this picture. At one point in time this boat probably spent many summers on the water. The beach at that lake is called Minnedosa Beach, and it’s just a few miles from my old hometown of Rivers. I lived there from 1957 to 1960. We often went to Minnedosa on sunny Sundays in the summer for swimming and picnics. It was great fun.
A boat such as this would have been a working man’s luxury back in the late 1950s. Its owner no doubt came upon hard times and parked the boat in a field, uncovered.
