Beyond Repair?

The hood and what appears to be the driver’s door are now sitting in the back trunk bed – as is the bumper, though whether it’s the front bumper or the rear can’t be determined. Headlights, taillights, and tailgate are no more. The make and model are indistinguishable. The front tire looks brand new, it might have been installed yesterday morning. That tire appears a mismatch to the right rear tire.

I’m no mechanic, but how was this one kept from the wrecking ball? And yet it remains… awaiting repair, no doubt.
