Inspired by the work of Walker Evans, I returned to this farmhouse for a follow-up session in black and white.

This was one of my earliest lessons in photography – that good pictures were to be found in the most ordinary of circumstances.

The scene commanded more than one visit and never failed to disappoint this aficionado of the discarded.

Whenever I use an analog manual typewriter, old feelings flood the mind and heart.

Black and white film is the perfect medium to record the fascinating details of the abandoned, the decayed and the ruined.
