I began this image using a 40-year-old Nikon camera loaded with high-speed Kodak Portra 800. Lightroom was next.

There are parallels between the pebbles on the beach, the deliberate placement of boulders, and the countless skyscrapers .

The Arbutus tree with its naturally occurring peeling bark is one of the most unusual of all trees.

On such mountain walls plant life somehow germinates, trees grow, birds build their nests, and goats and deer clamber up and down.

The trademark red and white smokestack from the coal-fired Generating Station could be seen for miles.
